Amazon is the world leader in online commerce. You can purchase almost anything from Amazon, and have been able to for years. Now Amazon thinks that social gaming is the next logical step to make money from, which would be through game app purchases. I am not so sure if I agree with Amazon here, however they have the resources and means to make it happen, so why not.
Yikes! This is not good news for the Google social network, Google+. Games just came to Google+ just ten months ago, and now it seems there is not enough incentive for game devs to continue supporting their games on Google+.

With 2011 coming to a close, Facebook posted the Top 10 most popular games on the most popular social network. To make the cut, the games had to have more than 100,000 monthly active users and priority was given to those games with the highest user satisfaction scores.
Word on the Internet is that Zynga is in talks with the makers of Toy Story to create an animated movie based off of the popular Facebook game FarmVille. The premise of the game is to build a farm by planting trees, harvesting crops and tending to livestock.
Today Zynga announced that they are bringing their largest and most popular game on Facebook to Google Plus. CityVille, which was added to Google Plus Games today has about 72 million monthly active users on Facebook. In comparison, Farmville which is another very popular app on Facebook has about 37 million monthly active users. So this is a big move by Zynga to extend their online reach to all social platforms.
Welp, after the sad news on Tuesday comes a bit more news, good and/or bad depending on your outlook. Myspace CEO Mike Jones confirmed the possible sale or spinoff of Myspace according to a Myspace spokewoman in an interview with Bloomberg.
“320 million people had played Zynga games to date” said Mark Pincus, CEO of Zynga at the Web 2.0 conference in San Francisco. “Zynga’s games see more than 3 million concurrent users during peak times in a day, and at any point in the day, four of your friends will be playing a Zynga game.” Very impressive.
