Microsoft gets it’s own pimped out ride

There’s only one place that I know that really knows how to “pimp” your ride, and that’s West Coast Customs. WCC gained a higher level of fame after their TV series on MTV Pimp My Ride aired in the 2000’s featuring guest host/rapper Xzibit; where WCC was notorious for doing over the top and outlandish custom car modifications. So when Microsoft wanted to do something to show off all the possibilities of their flagship products, they chose none other than WCC.

Tobii debuts vision gaze controls for Windows 8 at CES

New products and technology continue to get more interesting at CES this year. So far I have seen some pretty cool demos and prototypes that will be coming out soon. The Tobii Gaze Interface is another one at CES that is pretty neat that I think when strategicially integrated into the right products will enhance user experience ten fold.

Microsoft’s “Homework 2.0” TV commercial

I saw this TV commercial yesterday and had to find the YouTube video. It’s by Microsoft and it’s about a Dad and his son who swap each other’s computers (Windows 7 naturally) so the Dad can help his son with his homework. Except, his son ends up helping his Dad with his instead. It’s a cute ad that is definitely a sign of the times.

Backup your Tumblr blog

In light of the Tumblr Catastrophe, I was searching around the Internet to see if there are any backup programs available to export (backup) my Tumblr blogs. You know, for safe keeping. I am not leaving, just like to be safe.

After a bunch of digging, I found absolutely nothing for Windows users - ugh!  I did find the official export backup tool that Tumblr actually recommends.   Unfortunately for me, it’s for Mac users only. So figured I would spread the wealth just in case any Mac users are reading this and are on Tumblr.
