WikiLeaks Julian Assange 60 Mins Interview

If you missed the 60 Minutes Julian Assange interview last night don’t worry.  CBS posted the full interview which I embedded below.  I watched it and thought Steve Kroft didn’t hold back and asked all the right questions he should have.  I also think that Julian Assange answered well, intelligently and was very careful with his wording — but was able to get his point across.  Overall I would say the interview went well for Julian Assange and WikiLeaks and in their favor to the public eye. What are your thoughts?

In a televised discussion on WikiLeaks and Julian Assange with CNN, Fran Townsend and Glenn Greenwald - I would say it’s safe to say that Glenn Greenwald taught CNN a thing or two about journalism.  It’s sad that CNN doesn’t even know what journalism is.  Watch the vid and you decide for yourself.

The WikiLeaks server cave

If you thought the entire WikiLeaks saga couldn’t get any more strange, weird, interesting, exciting, then think again. This might not be super exciting, but it just adds to the entire WikiLeaks story as something that fits right in perfectly.

The WikiLeaks servers, which are based in Sweden are actually part of a cave.   A cave fitted for the likes of Batman or James Bond even.   The cave, or in reality a former cold war bunker is located in the Pionen White Mountain in Sweden which is located nearly 100 feet below the granite rocks of Stockholm’s Vita Berg Park.

You can still view WikiLeaks website (how to)

WikiLeaks has been shut down by every domain provider in the world. But thanks to our good friends at Google, you can still view all of WikiLeaks cables via Google Cache. Here’s how:

Here is the Google Cache URL:
http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:

Any URL that you enter after “cache:” will be the cached page of that website. You will need each individual WikiLeaks URL of each cable to view them. It would take a while to view them all, but it’s possible.
