From time to time, people do some really stupid things. Sometimes it may be an innocent but distasteful comment. At other times, the person may be downright racist. A little public shaming for these people is what I call justice. Some may not agree, and that’s fine.
Most blogging platforms, including Tumblr, display blog posts newest to oldest. Sometimes though, you may want readers to see your blog posts in chronological order. This is how you do it, and it’s beyond super-easy.
Tumblr to you and I may be one of the most popular blogs on the web, and the recent news of the Yahoo! acquisition of Tumblr, may make it one of the biggest exits of a blogging startup in history for founder and CEO David Karp. But Tumblr had to have it’s beginnings somewhere, and along the road how Tumblr got it’s start was lost somewhere in the Internet.
Things moved super fast this weekend, as Yahoo!’s board gave the green-light and ever-so-needed approval to acquire Tumblr, for an astonishing $1.1 billion.
Could this be the end of a good thing? It’s quite possibly so, if the news about Yahoo! being in serious talks to purchase Tumblr for an estimated $1 billion is true.

Zendesk provides customer service software and management for many organizations, outsourcing support and providing an out of the box solution to those that need to support their customers.

Hold the phone, what are you doing Tumblr? About 7 months ago Tumblr released a very neat piece of functionality to the Dashbaord called Pinned posts. It allowed for users to self-promote their Tumblr posts within the Tumblr Dash for a very small fee. This generates revenue for Tumblr, and gives users the opportunity to get more exposure with a single post without having to use Tumblr’s advertising. Now it’s gone? WTF.
For a long time, I contemplated with the thoughts of keeping my Tumblr blog BitShare with the default bitshare.tumblr.com URL, or should I set up a cool(er) custom domain for BitShare only. I finally decided to take the plunge, and have moved over my blog to the domain bitshare.cm.
A popular function on the Tumblr Dashboard, or on many websites now for that matter, is a Back to Top button that you can click after scrolling down that will smoothly take you back up to the top of the page. If you want this for your Tumblr (or website), this is how you do it.
I’ve always been a fan of infinite scrolling, as it seems much easier to just keep scrolling down to find new content versus using pagination which requires more clicking. Some favor pagination, but if you are interested in adding infinite scrolling to your Tumblr, here’s how you will do it.
The newest craze to hit Tumblr, courtesy of the new Facebook Graph Search, is clearly putting some folks in a compromising position. The new Facebook search method, which isn’t yet available to everyone, has a very robust and dynamic search which allows for all kinds of search results based on your Social Graph.
Blogging on Tumblr just got a lot easier. A big part of blogging (for serious bloggers) is tracking analytics. For the most part, Google Analytics (GA) does a good job of this, but specifically for Tumblr it falls short. GA was not built for Tumblr, so at no fault of their own, Tumblr users are often times left wondering, how many reblogs do I have, how many likes do my posts get, which posts are the most popular, and so on. This will all soon change with Union Metrics.

Sometimes the things that mean the most throughout every day life are just the little things which can make a difference.
