Super Mario get’s animated using Post-it notes in this extremely creative and fun stop motion video. The video was created by Final Cut King. There is also a behind the scenes look at how this stop motion video was made, which utilized “hundreds and hundreds” of hand-made Super Mario images.
Over the weekend before seeing the movie Brave, they had a trailer for Wreck-It Ralph, which looks like it’s going to be a really good animated movie, with a few of your favorite video game characters that you might remember from when you were younger.
Nintendo 3DS recently released the first version of Mario Kart in 3D. To help Nintendo bring Mario Kart to life for an even bigger 3D experience, Nintendo commissioned West Coast Customs to build a life-size functional models of the Mario and Luigi cars. You might remember WC Customs from their popular MTV show with Xzibit where they would “pimp your ride.” They really outdid themselves though with their life-size Mario cars which were unveiled at the 2011 LA Auto Show.
Trust me when I say, I am normally always in favor of PETA. You know, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals. I have a soft spot for animals, so anytime I see some people abusing or otherwise exploiting animals it pisses me off, like most people.
In these two clips from Lefvande Bilder, he created stop motion videos of Super Mario out of beads. I can’t imagine how long it took to create the animated sequences, but it’s creative and new way to capture the fun and legacy of Super Mario.
Super Mario needs your help in the ongoing war against Bowser to save Princess Peach. That’s the theme of these really unique propaganda posters by Fro Design. Remember, “don’t let power ups fall into enemy hands!”
Larry Quach is a freelance artist and had the opportunity to create unique wedding invitations for his friend’s Esther and Ryan. They wanted a Super Mario Bros theme wedding, so check out these invitations he created. They are amazing and very detailed.
Artist Donald Kennedy loves video games, so much so he creates some magnificent art figurines of tons of video game characters and scenes. You can see a few on his website Kody Koala. He made some cool custom Nintendo boardwalk cabinets of Mario the Iron Claw Game, Wario the Fortune Teller and a custom Elecman (Megaman) Cabinet.

Oh sorry, that was gibberish for: In Netherlands, students from Delft University of Technology built a Nintendo controller as part of the 21th anniversary of the study ETV (Electro Technical Society). The controller is fully functional and as you can see from the video, some can play games like Super Mario and Tetris really good with it.
This new video of Super Mario in the first person is unbelievable. It puts the classic Nintendo game in a whole new view, gives it a lot more life with sounds and actions and just makes you wonder how a whole game like this would go. Imagine in 3D? New film trailer from SXSW 2011 for “Mario” produced and directed by Joe Nicolosi (joe-nicolosi.com). Looks good, but can it live up to the NES Mario expectations? There is a lot riding on this!
How could you not love this little guy? Yoshi, from Super Mario has been brought back to life by Kody Kennedy. With what I imagine was done with a lot of patience, love and passion for nostalgia and Super Mario, Yoshi has been remade into “Mecha Yoshi”.
Since I grew up on Nintendo game systems, this rings home to me and I love it. Check out the pics of Mecha Yoshi. Also, if you like Mario/Yoshi, then you will love Mega Man which Kody also made which is pictured below.
