Christina Wright of Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, USA will soon be on her way to Germany to meet up with another world explorer, 103-year old Ella Kastner of Berlin. Christina is the first winner of the Bucket List Initiative sponsored by the Passion Passport Web site.

That is a s-load of data being generated and shuffled about on the web. The data ins’t slowing either, and as Internet becomes the staple of society and social media continuing to fuel data consumption, there are no signs that data generation will slow anytime soon.

Twitter just announced that they are doing away with their old Twitter logo and are introducing a newer more simplified logo, which is pictured inset. The old logo was the a very similar looking Twitter bird logo but going horizontally, and now with the new bird it’s in “flight” at an angle. Additionally, some older logos had “Twitter” in it or simply a “t” for Twitter. Now Twitter is taking a unified stance on one consistent logo, for which they posted a video below.
San Quentin State Prison may be one of the most infamous prisons. It’s home to some of the most hardened criminals around and is notorious for having a culture of violence. It’s moniker: “The Arena.” With all the infamy that comes out of San Quentin, also comes life experience. A group at San Quentin is working on a new program to connect prisoners to people outside of the prison, to give insight into their life and minds, and are using social media to do so.
We’ve all been there at one point or another. You’re green, you’re new, you’re fresh, you’re a n00b (noob), meaning, you are new to something and haven’t yet schooled yourself in whatever it is you are new to.
Saying the Internet is huge is an understatement. With social media on the rise and sites like Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr and Google Plus steadily fueling online connectivity, daily activities such as sending an email or posting a blog are going through the roof.
Although social media seems to be front and center of interaction on the Internet, blogging continues to be popular. When looking at ways to resonate with customers, businesses should recognize that a social media strategy alone isn’t enough, and that the benefits of a blog are simply too important to pass up.
