Amazon expands it’s reach into social gaming

Amazon is the world leader in online commerce. You can purchase almost anything from Amazon, and have been able to for years. Now Amazon thinks that social gaming is the next logical step to make money from, which would be through game app purchases. I am not so sure if I agree with Amazon here, however they have the resources and means to make it happen, so why not.

Kabam to Facebook: I’ll make you an offer you can’t refuse

Just when you thought that there could be a shift in social gaming possibly for game developers to start working on Games for Google Plus, you find out one of the most classic, famous and powerful movies is becoming a game on Facebook. LA Times is reporting that game maker Kabam is going to be releasing The Godfather: Five Families on Facebook later this year. This should be good.

It appears today that Google Plus has widely opened up Games on Google Plus to many users, if not the entire beta test group. I can’t say with certainty, but I have Games now when I login and checking around a lot of my friends in my Circles on Google Plus have it now as well.

I remember playing The Sims around the time when it first came out on the PC years ago. After that as it evolved I played it here or there, but haven’t played it in some time now. The game at heart is based on virtual reality, so the social aspect of it is only natural.
