Facebook is pushing out a new photo viewer that many may have seen recently, maybe not, as it’s still pretty new. If you use Google Plus, the wider view photo viewer may look familiar to you.
On a recent Google earnings call, Google CEO Larry Page said that Google Plus reached a new milestone. On the call he said that Google Plus now has 90 million users globally. Well over double what he announced just three months ago. 90 million total users is a high amount, given the age of Google Plus which just launched in June of 2011.
A new update will be coming to Google Plus according to Time where soon, you will be able to create Internet meme sensations in a matter of seconds.
Today Google released a teaser video for a new upcoming game for Google Plus called Play Your World with Google Maps. The game appears to be a mash up of Google Maps technology and the old NES 8-bit game Marble Madness with an arcade feel to it. It really looks fun, but the teaser is just that, it teases and doesn’t give out a whole lot of information other than it’s built using WebGL.
Google Plus is again getting another boost from Google, this time injecting Google Plus directly into the Google Search results page. If you go to the Google home page, they have a link for Introducing Search plus Your World. Now when searching on Google, as long as you have a Google Plus account and your logged in, your search results will show related results from people in your Google Plus circles who may have +1’d content or shared content in relation to what your searching for.

Has anyone that has been using Google Plus feel like their circle/friend stream and site interactions has gone down a bit? I can’t quantify the “feeling” I have other than noticing my posts on Google Plus seem to get less and less action. I know I don’t post ground breaking stuff, but it’s not that bad where I’ve seen such a continual drop off of interaction.
Google Plus just opened up brand pages to the general public. Now if you wish, you can create a brand page for your business, website, store, restaurant or what have you. Brand pages have a “page” verification badge at the top that identifies them as a brand page. They also have a +1 button right under the default profile image for easy sharing and a ‘share this page’ for direct sharing into your circles.
If you haven’t been on Google Plus yet today, go and check it out. When your in-stream, look to the far right, you can’t miss it - it’s the new YouTube player integration into Google Plus. The new player if you click the button will let you find videos to play in a stand-alone player.

Google Plus is really starting to step up their game. I am really impressed with their new image filters they just released. Just like Instagram, you can now apply image filters to your photos on Google Plus. But it’s more than what Instagram can do, with additional filters, settings, adjustments to really change your photos. It’s basically a light version of Photoshop which just set apart Google Plus from the rest.
Reports are indicating that Google will be launching their online music store in the next couple of weeks give or take. Google, who launched Beta Music back in early Summer of this year lets you upload your music collections to the Google cloud to give users the ability to listen to their music anywhere, sync to your devices/computers and even play your music offline.
So maybe I am just having a long day or something, but doesn’t it seem that Google is contradicting itself with the Blogger and Google Plus integration? TechCrunch reported yesterday that Google’s blogging platform Blogger will be doing some integration with Google Plus. Then the official Blogger blog posted the planned integration as well confirming what TC was saying.
