UK artist and Photoshop extraordinaire Steve Payne has created some fantastic portrait illustrations using celebrity faces and a digital copy of the old Russian General portrait originally made by George Dawe. English artist George Dawe painted over three hundred portraits of Russian generals during Napoleon’s invasion of Russia for the Military Gallery of the Winter Palace.

3D sneaker sculpture will have you wondering if it’s real or not

This tall 3D sculpture of Nike, Adidas and New Balance shoes located in front of a city building will have any shoe fan excited to go see it in person. The sculpture looks amazing and pays homage to sneaker collectors all over the world. The only problem - it’s just a graphic design crafted by Chris Labrooy who is a graphic artist. The design is so real looking, I can’t help but think if this is truly not real, it needs to be made real.

Photoshop CS6 to include 3D features and more

Adobe’s Creative Suite image editing software program Photoshop should be coming out with it’s newest version sometime around Spring 2012. When it comes out, it’s going to have a whole bunch of new features. Most notably confirmed in beta testing, Photoshop will have new 3D features that will have a whole slew of 3D functions to enhance shadowing and modify image axis for better 3D quality.
