You can use emoticons in Facebook comments now

Have you noticed in your Facebook comments when you do the :) symbol, Facebook converts it to an actual emoticon? That is because just recently Facebook converts all symbols in comments to emoticons. It used to only be for chat, but as of earlier this month you can add emoticons to comments too.

Apple gets with the times and adds gay and lesbian emoticons

Breaking news! Ok not really breaking, but an interesting catch by a reader of Gizmodo who got a glimpse of the new iOS6 update. In the update in the emoticons section, there are two new additions: a gay male couple and a lesbian female couple, who are pictured inset holding hands.
