ICYMI: the New Myspace officially launched today
Yep, you read that right. Myspace. It’s back (again, and again). It seems like every few months, it’s making some sort of come back. Well, now it’s official, and available to everyone.

A first look at the New Myspace, which just launched in beta
I just got my beta select invite to the newest Myspace to hit the social streets yet. Just two months ago Myspace announced that a new, new Myspace would be launching soon. Ever since then, they have been hard at work.

I feel like I have gone through this before. Oh yeah, we all did a year and a half ago. There was a lot of hype back then, and the excitement levels were high. Myspace was going through a full re-branding and the chances that Myspace could once again be an exciting, fresh, go-to social network was ripe with possibilities.

Anonymous is building Anontune, a social music discovery platform
Anonymous, the hacker group that you probably have heard of by now is doing something different to cause a disruption. Anon is trying to disrupt the music business, in a similar fashion as Napster or Limewire did as it’s predecessors, however not exactly in the same way making sure not to break any copyright sharing laws, which they need to be very careful of. Anon is building what they call Anontune, which will be a social music aggregation and discovery service.
In addition to redesign, Twitter launches Brand Pages
Today is a big day for Twitter. Earlier they officially launched the newest version of Twitter yet, really pushing the envelope in modern web design and content discovery. As part of the new redesign, Twitter also has a new Brand Page program.

Twitter has updated thier design once again. I guess you can call it the New New Twitter (#newnewtwitter). Initially in October when the redesign was leaked, I wasn’t a very big fan of it. It just didn’t make a lot of sense, but you have to take leaks with a grain of salt as they are an unfinished product and don’t tell the whole story.
Will the future of science uncover a Facebook gene?
“Imagination is more important than knowledge.” - Albert Einstein. At the Technology Horizons Program conference scientists discussed topics that are unheard of and might seem a bit far fetched such as invisibility cloaks or a Facebook gene. Recent scientific studies though are catalysts to these transformations in science and prompt “what if” questions.

Have you ever used StumbleUpon? If not, the gist is that you can surf the web on their website within your browser and view and discover new websites, random websites and browse websites by category (I like to surf Tech sites).
All you do is go to their site and “stumble” using their browser’s toolbar to start discovering websites which will display the full window in your browser, not just links. It’s a great way to surf the web and I do recommend it. But I just stumbled upon a new great discovery site that I want to share with you.
