Google Fonts Directory updated

In May 2010 Google announced they were opening up their Fonts API to the public in a directory for web fonts typography.  The directory is a resource for web designers to get access to stylish fonts that can be used with CSS vs. using images to achieve a better font style than what can be achieved using normal web fonts.

How I made a kick-ass menu using only CSS

Earlier I was thinking I need a good menu on my AllShare Blog. Wasn’t sure what to do, then I thought — why not have something that expands on hover? So it’s tucked away a bit but visible, then if the user hovers over the menu it opens to show whatever I wanted. So I got to work. It’s pretty simple in hindsight and only took me a few mins to write up, but maybe an hour to clean it up and execute it the way I wanted.
