Turn your browser into a cool and usable text editor with one click

imageI came across a post earlier that is way cool. With a simple insert of the text/html Data URI into the browser address bar, you can turn the Chrome browser into a full-on text editor with bells and whistles. The best parts are that you can save it as a bookmarklet, so anytime in the future you want to turn your browser into a text editor, you can with one click.

How to add infinite scrolling to your Tumblr

imageI’ve always been a fan of infinite scrolling, as it seems much easier to just keep scrolling down to find new content versus using pagination which requires more clicking. Some favor pagination, but if you are interested in adding infinite scrolling to your Tumblr, here’s how you will do it.

How awesome is this kid? Well, I shouldn’t say kid, but a 14 year old teenager. Santiago Gonzalez is an exception to the rule. He is fluent in many different programming languages, and by the time most teens are learning to drive he will have graduated from college and will be finishing up his masters degree. He says when he dreams at night, he figures out solutions to all the programming problems he might encountered during the day. A true prodigy.

Skywiper, the ghost in the machine

I don’t claim to know a lot about malware, or spyware for that matter, other than I know it’s bad shit and if your computer gets infected it can really mess things up. It’s also a pain in the ass to try to remove a virus, which I have had to do on an occasion or two. Which is also why I run virus scans often and am very careful about my web browsing and the sites I visit.

N. Korea’s website was built with $15 and an American design template

The United States and North Korean relationship has been tumultuous, with a recent and big flare up when North Korea decided to launch a ‘satellite’ into space. The U.S. firmly suspected that N. Korea was launching a missile into space, which could be positioned to hit many countries including the U.S., saying the launch was a direct threat to the U.S. North Korea, not really giving an eff, launched anyways, and failed miserably.

The age old debate that code can be stolen may finally be resolved

For years it has been debated that code can be stolen, therefore if it can be stolen, you can be prosecuted for stealing other peoples code or work in a court of law. Also in a similar token, if you can steal code, then it should be able to be copyrighted. In a recent court ruling, this may have all changed.

Get help learning to code, for free

Coding is always something I have been interested in. I am not a very good programmer in the least, but I like to write HTML and CSS codes. If I could improve my JavaScript and learn more coding languages, it would be something I would really be interested in. Part of the issue is finding the time to learn, and taking classes can be costly.
