The sewers in Brazil aren’t just for water anymore
South America is known for a lot of things, but what I am starting to see more and more is how awesome the street art is. If you don’t know already, check out some of the street art in Bogota, Columbia. As for Brazil, 6emeia started a new project based around beautifying some of the neighborhood sewers in Barra Funda, turning them into masterful pieces of art. All the rad sewer artwork is done by Brazilian street artists, Anderson Augusto and Leonardo Delafuente.

In most societies especially here in the U.S., street art or better known as graffiti is frowned upon. Typically street art is painted over as it’s an illegal act of vandalism. I understand and in many cases agree with that, because some just look to cause trouble and vandalize property rather than create a piece of art.
