If Pixar made an animated Star Trek movie
It may look a little bit like this. Or a lot like this as a matter of fact. This should happen, it would be damn cool. Pixar Star Trek artwork courtesy of Minion Factory.

“You got a heart beat [thump thump thump], that means it’s time to do something!” I don’t know how old “Kid President” is, but I think he is old enough to school us older folks on life. He has some very inspiring words, coming from a young person who has some big dreams. I love this video. If you do to, as Kid President suggests, pass this along and bring a smile to someones face.
Anyone that can appreciate the work that goes into building a Formula One race car that can reach speeds of up to 220 mph will surely marvel at the Mercedes-Benz World’s F1 Exhibition in Surrey, UK, which literally takes a Formula One race car and suspends each individual piece of the car in mid-air.
Oh, you didn’t know squirrels could be killing machines? I guess you haven’t seen Epic Squirrels then, where squirrels are manifested into anything your mind can imagine. It’s all done with the magic of Photoshop, with the DIY video embedded below. Is your mind blown yet? Not yet? Then, watch this squirrel do the Superman.

A logo should define an entity, and it should encapsulate everything you do in one singular image. With that mantra in mind, creating a successful, simple yet illustrative logo can be a difficult project to undertake.
Rolls Royce created a monstrosity with an all Lego working replica of one of their jet engines. The Lego jet engine is 4’9” long and 6’5” feet wide weighing in at a hefty 676 lbs. The engine is a perfect replica of the Rolls Royce Trent 1000, which is used in the Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft. According to Rolls Royce, it’s the world’s first all Lego working jet engine. The Lego engine took four people eight weeks to build and complete with over 152,000 Lego pieces.
Creating digital artwork is no easy task without the right tools. Many still compose art in a non-digital world, then use Photoshop or similar image manipulation tools to digitize their work. What if you could use a touchscreen device which encompassed all your artist design needs to create videos, art and animation, all in one beautiful user interface?
Wait, fried gadgets? Yes, that’s right. Henry Hargreaves is an art and fashion photographer who likes to create new mediums for his photography. One of which was to fry up some gadgets like iPhones, iPads and laptops to see how they fair and post the results on his Tumblr blog. The results, well you can see for yourself. The gadgets look so good I think Colonel Sanders would even be proud!
Typography is the technique of taking type (letters, numbers) and giving it an artful appearance, most commonly referred to as typography design and in some cases uses ligature to change it’s appearance. Typeverything takes typography and letter design and compiles on their Tumblr blog many inspirational pieces if you are into typography. Here are just a few of my favorites.
After 11 grueling hours and a couple of attempts, YouTube user Flippy Cat recreated the famous Vincent van Gogh painting “Starry Night” with nothing but a lot of dominoes, patience and dedication. The end result is pretty amazing when you see it all come together.
If you’re a fan of Banksy, Superheroes or just art in general and you own a Macbook or an iPad, you should enjoy these decals from Mac Modify. I like them all, but the Superman and Darth Vader are my favorites. Since these are made specifically for Macs which are 13 inches wide, most should fit the iPad (which is 9.5 inches wide) but in some cases may need to be cut to fit, but it still would work and would look pretty darn good.
My mind was just blown. I like to dabble in Photoshop here and there to play around, but this here my friends is serious business. Artist Alexander Koshelkov created a masterpiece called Luftbanza Airlines, which is a beuatuful wallpaper created using Adobe Photoshop CS6. In the video time lapse below, he gives a sneak peek into the steps he took to create it.
Graffiti street artist Dover.D used his amazing skills to decorate Tel Aviv’s City Hall escalators with some colorful art that blends perfectly together as the escalators go up and down. I wish they would do stuff like this here in the U.S., like in Latin America where graffiti is encouraged and not frowned upon.
Recently Twitter decided to consolidate and unify it’s logo of the Titter bird, changing it slightly. Before the recent change, Twitter had changed their bird logo back in 2010. So in the past two years it’s changed twice. Cartoonist Ape Lad who works for Disney Interactive has illustrated his own interpretations of the Twitter logo of the past two years and morphed them into your favorite characters such as Krusty the Clown, Marilyn Monroe, Woody Woodpecker, The Hulk, Gumby, Star Wars characters and more. Here are some of my favorites.
