WikiLeaks Julian Assange 60 Mins Interview

If you missed the 60 Minutes Julian Assange interview last night don’t worry.  CBS posted the full interview which I embedded below.  I watched it and thought Steve Kroft didn’t hold back and asked all the right questions he should have.  I also think that Julian Assange answered well, intelligently and was very careful with his wording — but was able to get his point across.  Overall I would say the interview went well for Julian Assange and WikiLeaks and in their favor to the public eye. What are your thoughts?

U.S. Govt subpoenas Twitter; Facebook and Google next

Yesterday Salon picked up a story from Birgitta Jónsdóttir, who is a member of the Parliament in Iceland, that she was just notified by Twitter that the U.S. Dept of Justice has subpoenaed Twitter in direct relation to her Twitter account.

The WikiLeaks server cave

If you thought the entire WikiLeaks saga couldn’t get any more strange, weird, interesting, exciting, then think again. This might not be super exciting, but it just adds to the entire WikiLeaks story as something that fits right in perfectly.

The WikiLeaks servers, which are based in Sweden are actually part of a cave.   A cave fitted for the likes of Batman or James Bond even.   The cave, or in reality a former cold war bunker is located in the Pionen White Mountain in Sweden which is located nearly 100 feet below the granite rocks of Stockholm’s Vita Berg Park.
