Gmail adds preview panes to email

9to5Google caught a new Gmail feature that recently has become available to users.  You might recognize it already if you ever used Microsoft Outlook. It’s called preview panes. You can preview emails in separate window panes vertically or what I prefer, horizontally.

You can turn on this new feature by going to your Gmail Settings, click on Labs and scroll down to Preview Pane and enable. Then in Gmail you can set it to vertical or horizontal. It’s nice that Google finally added this feature, as it’s always been an important function in Outlook which I am surprised it took this long for Google to implement.
