Stage your very own email intervention

With the help of Google, you can stage your own email intervention. If you still have friends with email addresses like: @aol.com, or @hotmail.com or worse, @netzero.com or @juno.com it’s time to help them get into a better emailing system and not be embarrassed by their email address any longer. I would say anyone with @yahoo.com is safe for now, but their time is running out as well.

We all have friends who use these old email addresses. So why not use Gmail? That is Google’s newest pitch to move everyone to Gmail’s email system. I must admit Gmail is a great email system. The one thing I have always disliked and many do not agree with me is the no-folder system. I don’t like having everything in one view and using labels to separate vs. using folders. However, unlimited storage and things like chat, phone calls, great email search, security and fast speed makes it the better choice, as Google points out in the email intervention as well. Oh yeah, you get the @gmail.com email address :)

I would also say this is part of Google’s bigger initiative which is to get users anyway possible to get them on their products. Could be any product for that matter. The reason — that black bar at the top of all Google pages now. Which links you to all things Google including Google Plus which is still in beta testing and yet to open to the general public.
