iOS6 is now available to download

Apple just pushed the release of iOS6 to all Apple devices, and is now available for download. I just updated my iPhone and I am checking out iOS6, and so far so good! 

Some major new features to look out for is Apple Maps, as Apple stopped using Google Maps with this new software release. Siri got an upgrade and moves out of Beta. Hopefully, she won’t disappoint as she has over the past year. Facebook is baked right into iOS6, so sharing to your favorite social network will be much easier. The camera gets Panorama view for better photos. There is actually quite a lot more to the update, which you can read here.

With iOS6 now on my iPhone4S, I really don’t see the need to upgrade to iPhone5. The new features of the next gen iPhone aren’t enough to make the switch. It would be a nice-to-have of course, but with all the good stuff on iOS6 I think I will be sticking with 4S for now.
