Here’s the leaked video of the new Google Nexus 7 tablet
Today is the start of the Google I/O event in San Francisco. One of the big rumors of the event would be if Google is really introducing their own tablet to the market, which would compete with the iPad and more recently, with the Microsoft Surface. Although Google has not officially announced the Google tablet at I/O, an image and video have already been leaked.
The Verge got a hold of some images from a tipster who manipulated a Google Play URL which revealed what the new Google tablet will look like. The name is the Google Nexus 7, which is seven inches wide, which is two inches smaller than the iPad. The Nexus 7 pictured inset will have 8gb and 16gb data capacity with a 1.2 megapixel front facing camera with full access to all the apps on Google Play, and has been rumored to sell for $199.
After watching the video below, the Nexus 7 looks to be in between a Kindle, which is six inches wide and an iPad, cramming all the great features into one device. Google and Microsoft are surely shaking up the tablet space this year. The key differences in all the tablet devices will be price point. Microsoft still hasn’t said what the Surface will retail for, and both tablets have to be comparable to the iPad or they won’t succeed.
