Give your iPhone life and personality with Moboto

Most geeks have some sort of toy accessory by their computer. Maybe it’s a robot, gadget or some sort of knick knack, and they are cute, but wouldn’t it be neat to have something that has personality and a life of it’s own?

That is the goal of Moboto, which is a project on Kickstarter. Moboto is a mobile docking device, so you can dock your iPhone to it and it will turn your normally boring charging iPhone into an interactive and playful Moboto.

Using what is called “App Personas”, Moboto is able to respond to touch, for example blink when you touch it’s eye. The eye will change color based on the level of your battery charge, and will even display data like the time. There are several App Personas besides the eye, another one being a flower that displays content based on the weather. Moboto also has additional accessories, to fit your customization styles like different docking bases.

Besides the cool features it comes with, it’s also a functional device and has an alarm clock system and has audio output to play music. Moboto comes with a free app to use along with the hardware device, which will need to be downloaded to use it. Mashable noted that they plan to roll out the Moboto in November, just in time for the holidays.
