Amazing Alex is a new app by Rovio, makers of Angry Birds

I am actually really excited about this. Rovio, who made the blockbuster app Angry Birds is finally expanding on their brand with a new line of apps, starting out with Amazing Alex.

According to Digital Trends, Rovio has acquired the rights to Casey’s Contraptions from creators Mystery Coconut and Snappy Touch. There isn’t much information yet about the game, Rovio just set up a teaser website for now, and also have a Facebook and Twitter page.

Going off the description of Casey’s Contraptions in iTunes, which is clearly the Amazing Alex, it says…

Help Casey get his toys back by building crazy contraptions. Create Rube Goldberg-like machines with toys and everyday items to solve puzzles and playtime scenarios. See the solutions your friends came up with, and share your own instantly with Game Center.

The fun doesn’t stop there! Create your own contraptions with the toys you get back, and challenge your friends through email to solve them. I am hoping that Rovio makes the Amazing Alex as interactive and action-packed as Angry Birds, as they have set the bar high for mobile device app games.
