Become a business mogul in Jay-z’s new Facebook app, Empire
Do you think you have what it takes to go from a bonafied hustler, to an entrepreneur to a business mogul? That is what Jay-z did, and he wants you to do the same thing in his new Facebook app game called Empire.
From what it looks like, Empire is basically a take off of Mobsters (by Playdom) or even more like Mafia Wars (by Zynga), which is a flagship app on the social networking platform, which has also sky rocketed Zynga to become a premiere app developer.
In Empire, you have to complete missions starting off pretty much as a nobody, and as you advance in the game you also move up in rank and do different missions with the end goal of owning your own Empire. The app is developed by Happy Giant Media who worked closely with Jay-z on the app, which also mirrors in the general sense Jay’z rise to fame.
It’s too bad that more app developers are not using HTML5 to create better games, that have potential to be have more interactive action similar to console gaming. For example with Angry Birds, Rovio has done a good job in utilizing HTML5 canvas element for complex graphics.
Jay-z’s Empire is available now on Facebook.
