This guy is making over $1k a day spamming Pinterest

I think I need to change professions, because this guy is making a buttload of money doing some shady, yet legal work. The Daily Dot interviewed one person, who using a network of spam bots has created a lucrative business from the new social pinning network.

The spammers name is Steve, and of course he declined to give his last name. He is a self-taught spammer, so this isn’t his first rodeo, and has been kicked off of Facebook and Twitter so far. He is one of those fellows you love and hate at the same time. Since spam is such a damn problem, and I hate getting spam, I don’t like what he does, but he is making really good money for it and you can’t help say “why didn’t I think of that?” Chances are what he is doing won’t last much longer, in particular since this is hitting the wire.

Steve heard about Pinterest and got the idea actually from a previous story that made headlines about how Pinterest was catching slack from profiting themselves of it’s users pins using affiliate links. Using this knowledge, he set up his spam bots for Pinterest and his Amazon affiliate links, and was on his way. In regards to spamming Pinterest, Steve says:

Pinterest is by FAR the easiest social network to spam right now. Quite possibly the easiest ever to spam. It requires almost no work to get started and no money to invest. You just have to know how the system works and how you can fix it to your advantage

Check out the Daily Dot to catch the rest of the interview.
