World AIDS Day is December 1st

“Silence is a source of great strength” - Lao Tzu. Wednesday, December 1st is World Aids Day. This day is to help raise awareness to take action to tackle HIV prejudice and to protect yourself and others from HIV transmission.

One way to raise awareness on Wednesday will be some well known celebrities going silent (“digitally dying”) on Twitter and Facebook in efforts to raise $1 million for HIV/AIDS support and relief in Africa and India. They will not sign back on until $1 million dollars is raised.  

This fundraiser is being organized by Alicia Keys for her non-profit Keep A Child Alive in support of World AIDS Day and support for those affected by HIV/AIDS. For more information on her fundraiser “Buy Life” please visit her website http://buylife.org.
