In addition to redesign, Twitter launches Brand Pages
Today is a big day for Twitter. Earlier they officially launched the newest version of Twitter yet, really pushing the envelope in modern web design and content discovery. As part of the new redesign, Twitter also has a new Brand Page program.
According to Adage, Twitter has spent the better part of the past year discussing and developing brand pages. The new brand pages are slightly different than regular user pages.
Brand Pages at the top bio section allow for a new 835x90 banner image that goes under the top area which will allow brands to further identify themselves with taglines and logos. Other subtleties are on the top right where you can open/close all tweets on the page, to display media like YouTube videos or images. Since Twitter is really the ultimate social content discovery platform, Brand Pages can really thrive on the new ecosystem if done right.
