Apple Stores watch out, Androidland debuts in Australia
Aw, Snap! Android just got it’s own retail store. Androidland which just debuted in Australia is the first Android retail experience, an interactive one at that. It has all the similarities that any mobile device store would have: staff to help you with questions, show you how Android powered devices might work, you name it. Except, Androidland is more like an Apple Store + a Game Stop on crack.
Essentially, Androidland is like Toys R Us for adult smart device shoppers. You can play Angry Birds, go anywhere in the world with Google Earth on a large screen, walk into rooms that smell like Gingerbread (an Android version) and more. It’s really just a rich customer experience that goes beyond what any normal retail store would be.
Hopefully, this will turn out to be a success and Google will then combine Chromezone and Androidland into one epic Google store.
