Help save the Internet!

Today is a huge day for the Internet. It’s not just about reblogging, tweeting and posting Facebook updates today. Today is the time to act, to keep the Internet free of bureaucratic bullshit and politicians trying to make the Internet a censored network for all of us.

I have blogged about this before. With the PROTECT-IP Act and also with H.R. 1981. In addition there is the Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA). These two bills, the PROTECT-IP and SOPA are being legislated on today.  It will happen unless we speak up about it, today.  Make your voice heard.  If you don’t, the ramifications of these bills are tremendous.  All major tech companies are opposed to these bills as-is, they need to be changed.  Here is the open letter from Google, Facebook, Twitter and others opposing these bills.

Tumblr is even doing their part and launched a special page to help Tumblr users get information and contact their local representative. Please read up on the information and then either call your representatives today or email them. This is important!
