New augmented reality campaign for the 2012 VW Beetle
The new Volkswagen Beetle is so much more slick than it’s predecessors. I must admit, it’s sporty and stylish and a big step forward. In the new 2012 marketing campaign from German owned Volkswagen, they are using mobile technology with the use of tablets and smartphones to augment reality.
As they say, the advertising should be as impressive as the car. All you have to do is download the Augmented Reality (AR) app and view one of the VW billboards or transit signs (where available) and enjoy the experience.
The new VW Beetle is boasting some impressive stats too. It has a new turbo edition that will give you 200 horsepower with a 6 speed twin-clutch. Not bad for a ride made for hippies. It will get you from 0-60 in 6.3 seconds but will set you back about $24K for the turbo model.
