ICYMI: Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg and others promote code education

Just a few days ago Code.org released a video with several world famous people, who all code or have coded in the past such as Bill Gates (Microsoft), Mark Zuckerberg (Facebook), Jack Dorsey (Twitter), Will.I.Am (Black Eyed Peas), Chris Bosh (Miami Heat) promoting Code.org’s initiative that everyone should have the chance to learn how to code.

If this video isn’t an advertisement on the benefits of learning coding skills, I don’t know what is. With all the glitz and glam, the video portrays being a coder to the likes of a “rockstar.” Now, being a great coder is fantastic, but being a rockstar may be a stretch, but hey, the intent is what counts, and learning to code I think is important as well.

I have talked about it before, such as with Code Academy or taking free online courses to code. Coding is not easy by any means, but the video is right in saying that nothing is, and if you are dedicated and put your mind to it, you can do it too!
