The GeekWire Summit is less than a month away, and we continue to add awesome speakers to what’s turning out to be our biggest and best lineup ever.
Today, we’re excited to announce that Stripe co-founder and president John Collison; Zillow Group CEO Spencer Rascoff; and theBoardlist founder Sukhinder Singh Cassidy will be speaking at this year’s Summit, taking place in Seattle from Oct. 9-11.
Tickets are on sale here, so get yours today.
You may not know Collison, but at 27-years-old he’s the youngest tech billionaire on the planet and he’s implementing new ways to overhaul online and mobile payments at Stripe. We’re thrilled that he’ll join us on stage at the Summit, talking about everything from future of financial transactions to security to what it’s like to build a business with your older brother.
We’re also excited to announce that Zillow Group CEO Spencer Rascoff will return to the Summit stage, but this time as an interviewer. Rascoff will host an episode of his Office Hours podcast at the Summit, interviewing Sukhinder Singh Cassidy, the technology executive and entrepreneur who is pushing hard to get more women serving on company boards through theBoardlist. The interview will delve into complex issues that are rattling the tech industry today, with specific advice and lessons about how companies can encourage diversity and inclusion.
Prior to theBoardlist, Singh Cassidy was an executive at Google and founded Joyus and Yodlee.
Other speakers on this year’s GeekWire Summit agenda: Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella; Starbucks CEO Kevin Johnson; Jeff Wilke, the chief executive of Amazon’s worldwide consumer business; Instacart CEO Apoorva Mehta; Washington State Attorney General Bob Ferguson; Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research president Dr. Gary Gilliland; and Duke University autonomous vehicle expert and former Navy pilot Missy Cummings.
The tentative agenda is listed under the agenda tab on the event registration site here.
Don’t snooze. With this lineup we do expect the event to sell out at more than 800 attendees.
In addition to the in-depth sessions, we also pack the event with fun parties, interactive demos and great networking.
We will kick things off on Oct. 9th with a Welcome Party hosted at the amazing Living Computers Museum + Labs in Seattle’s Sodo neighborhood, including a VIP pre-party reception featuring Baidu president Ya-Qin Zhang. And then we’ll gather again on the evening of Oct. 10th for the spectacular Capital One Rooftop Party at Frolik.
We hope you can join us at this year’s Summit, and stay tuned for more special announcements!
